Revive the Bond: Expert Affair Recovery
How it Works: Scheduling and Treatment Packages

We offer either pre-packaged services (with a 20% discount) or full-price, hourly rates to simplify the process and encourage commitment to recovery. After a screening consultation, pre-qualified couples then meet with Dr. Chris for further consultation. Couples accepted into treatment may then select from a variety of packages to suit their needs. All of our work is completed online in secure video sessions with Dr. Chris. Prices do not include applicable taxes.

Unconventional Scheduling for Accelerated Healing

We strive to meet the needs of busy, professional couples who are serious about healing. Unlike the typical one-hour-a-week therapy format, we emphasize multi-hour sessions to accelerate healing and move couples rapidly past the crisis. For best results, Revive the Bond requires couples to schedule one day a week where they can consistently devote a minimum of three hours to intensive recovery work with Dr. Chris. During treatment, couples work with Dr. Chris at least one day a week, each week, for a minimum of three hours per session (and up to six hours if appropriate). Couples in significant crisis early in treatment often schedule longer sessions and multiple days a week, as needed.
This intensive format significantly accelerates healing. Such multi-hour sessions (in contrast to standard 53 minute therapy sessions) can make the difference between divorce and successful healing.

Packaged Services

Package 1: Five hours of crisis stabilization

Couples in crisis may choose the initial, five-hour crisis stabilization program, where we assess the crisis and rapidly improve coping after an affair's discovery. We also work to minimize further damage to the couple and family. Couples learn specific skills and methods to cope with overwhelming emotions, conflict, revenge fantasies, parenting challenges, boundaries, and more. This package provides both individual- and couples-sessions. This can serve as a stand-alone package for couples not yet ready to commit to recovery treatment. If in Dr. Chris' judgment a couple is in too severe of a crisis to move forward with assessment and recovery, he may require this as a prerequisite to such work. $1,997

Package 2: Eight hours of assessment and preparatory work

During this phase you will meet individually and together with Dr. Chris to review and discuss the assessment and history forms, manage the crisis, and begin your individual work. We examine the history of the relationship, individual histories, families of origin, the affair and its consequences, current functioning, substance use, and more. This thorough assessment process allows us to clearly identify treatment goals, understand treatment timelines, and plan for interventions. We will also begin individual work that paves the way for affair recovery. Couples not in crisis may begin with this package. Simply engaging in this process tends to reduce the emotional pressure in the relationship and instills hope for progress. This assessment is required before engaging in affair exploration and recovery work. $2,397.

Package 3: 25 hours of affair recovery and healing
Couples may engage in this work once we have completed the eight hour assessment phase (Package 2) and, if needed, crisis stabilization (Package 1). Affair exploration provides couples an opportunity to safely and productively explore what has happened, both in the affair and in the relationship. This work is essential if both partners wish to recover from their emotional wounds and heal the damaged bond. It also paves the way for greater understanding of the all-important question of why the affair happened. $9,997

Important notes: The amount of time necessary to complete this phase can vary considerably, depending on many variables. 25 hours is an approximated average based on work with many couples. If we complete the exploration in less time we simply devote the remaining time to any of several major tasks that remain (see Package 5). Couples can add time as needed, at the reduced rate for packaged services.

Package 4: 10 hours of protecting the relationship and finding meaning

During this phase we further strengthen the bond by defining the boundaries around the couple, clarifying expectations, enhancing transparency and accountability, growing trust, and addressing pre-existing problems in the relationship. We also engage in continued work on why the affair happened, and what it means to the couple. This is an essential step that helps the couple make sense of what has happened and even use the experiences to propel them to become better than they were before the affair. Many couples choose to extend this work. $3,997

Package 5: 10 hours of traditional couples therapy to strengthen the bond and heal past wounds.

As couples heal after affair-focused work, many choose to engage in traditional couples therapy to continue strengthening their relationship. This work is tailored to meet unique needs, but often involves the use of emotion-focused couples therapy (EFT) to strengthen the bond. Available after completing Packages 3 and 4. $3,997

Package 6: Five hours of continued treatment

As we progress through treatment, couples may find certain elements particularly challenging and request more time to focus on that work. Others may wish to have more individual time with Dr. Chris Regardless of the reasons, couples can add time as needed, in five hour increments. $1,997

Package 7: Extended, two-hour consultation

For couples or individuals who are interested in learning more before committing to treatment we offer extended, two-hour consultations with Dr. Chris. These are reduced-fee and give you the opportunity to ask more questions and learn about the treatment approach and rationale in more depth. This can be especially valuable when there is a high degree of ambivalence about whether to work to save the marriage or relationship. This can also be helpful for the person who had the affair, given their significant (and understandable) concerns about engaging in this kind of work. $297

Hourly services:

Couples who have not committed to a package may engage in hourly services at a non-discounted rate. $497/hr.
